Community and Academia Meet in Downtown Haifa

The University of Haifa is pleased to invite you to the European Researchers’ Night.  This year, the event will take the format of “Science at the Bar”.  Come hear fascinating presentations on contemporary topics by our award-wining faculty members.

The talks are being hosted at locations around the Lorry I. Lokey City Campus, innovation and high-tech centers and pubs.

The talks will be held simultaneously and are open to the general public.

Doors Open at 19:00 | Lectures Begin at 19:30

Free Admission. Seating will be on a first come first served basis. 

 

Dr. Keren Or-Chen – "Decision Making at Crossroads of Life – The Way to Happiness"

Have you reached a crossroads in life and are asking yourself the following questions:
Should I stay in an unhappy relationship? Should I choose career over family or the opposite? Should I stay in a professionally and financially unrewarding workplace? Did you make the right decision when you reached such a crossroads? In any case, what is a correct decision? Were you able to cope with the anxiety of the situation and maybe it was a source of motivation?
The "Decision Making at Crossroads of Life" lecture touches on our personal crossroads, explores ways to deal with them, suggests alternative ways to think about our quality of life and presents ways that positive psychology can enhance well-being and happiness in our lives.
What is happiness, after all? Do we know how to recognize happiness? Is there a solution?
There are, and more than a few… Where, when and why???
